an active online meeting space where members can post between sessions
an active Peer Support Network
an active Interdisciplinary Provider Group making sure that interested practitioners are supported in learning where to find the best resources on our topics of need.
two or three people involved as needed on a project-basis, participation confirmed project by project to keep the load manageable
Quarterly 60-90 minute meetings
Annual or twice-a-year meetings and events in person featuring practitioners other than myself speaking on their areas of specialty (low-cost fundraisers/donation or sliding scale)
2-13 of us show up per session--a small part of our list of 70 members
Discord Virtual Group Space: no one visits the space yet--certainly not me... so it's not useful to those who might
Peer Support: a list in my possession of members glad to share what they've learned with others who have similar concerns, plenty of people who would like to make use of it and occasionally some I do link--but also a list of questions important to me if not to others on liability and ethics in managing this well before it gets up to doing much
Interdisciplinary Provider Group: a local doctor and I harvest from our spare time to work with other local care providers regularly, but as a larger outreach group involving all those who have expressed interest... we're just getting there slowly, ticking boxes off our list as we're able
just me running this so far (gladly, of course) between rearing a child and running a business
schedule the year's meeting calendar in advance so that there's never a question of when to meet
standardize newsletters so that sending them imperfect can be semi-automated
enlist another leader or two willing to host meetings whenever my schedule may be upended last minute
send the Interdisplinary Provider Group an email that has been sitting in my drafts for about six months, reaffirm everyone's interest, and start to put together some infrequent group events.
At present this is a local group. A few participate who have connections here or have moved away. To keep things local, comfortable, relatively private, and feasible for meeting in person, email me with your interest about joining and confirm that you live here in New Mexico (New Mexico is rural and I know just how underserved our central cities are--feel free to join from anywhere in the state although most of us are in Santa Fe or Albuquerque).
